A wealth of new features are added to the outstanding qualities of its predecessor, including standard fitment of the new Mercedes PowerShift 3 automated gearshift system across the range. Add to this the range of fuel-efficient 4- and 6-cylinder Euro VI engines, the new Atego offers a driving experience second to none. With a level of quality and comfort only matched by its larger siblings - the Antos, Actros and Arocs - the new Atego is a real all-round professional in distribution and construction applications.
A choice of two cabs are specifically designed for the new Atego in construction site operation, The S-Cab ClassicSpace and S-Cab ClassicSpace with extended rear panel are characterised by easy access, compact exterior dimensions and excellent visibility. The standard roof height allows for easy access to tight locations, whilst providing an excellent working space for construction site work. These cabs are also available with the option of a centre seat.
In addition, some models are available with the option of the L-Cab, both as ClassicSpace and BigSpace versions, offering comfort for overnight stays and up to two beds. These cabs also offer seat/bunk combinations as an option. Also available by special request is a crew cab.

The new Atego introduces an array of technical measures designed to keep distribution transport operations particularly economical in future. This means low fuel consumption and low overall operating costs - throughout the vehicle’s useful life.
The new Atego is available with a choice of two engine displacements and 7 power ratings from 115kW (156hp) to 220kW (299hp), each designed for maximum fuel efficiency, maximum torque and driveability, low noise & emissions and a long life with unsurpassed reliability. All ratings are offered complying with the most stringent Euro VI emissions standard, helping you to future-proof your business.
All are designed for economy, and the new Atego delivers outstanding fuel savings of up to 5% at Euro VI (compared to the already frugal predecessor). This impressive figure can be attributed in part to common-rail high-pressure injection system which injects fuel into the cylinders at up to 2,400 bar.
In addition to saving on fuel, the new truck engines will save in other areas with reduced AdBlue consumption of up to 40% reduction with Euro VI, maintenance costs no higher than Euro V, and increased design life.
